The Jazair Awards is proud to partner with CANEX Shorts 2025, the third edition of the short film competition launched by Afreximbank through its Creative Africa Nexus (CANEX) programme. This initiative supports and celebrates emerging cinematic voices from across Africa and its global diaspora — and this year, the spotlight turns to Algiers, Algeria, host city of CANEX at IATF2025 from September 4–10, 2025.
As an official partner, the Jazair Awards joins CANEX in its mission to uplift and empower the next generation of African filmmakers through this unique platform, which will culminate in screenings, an awards ceremony, and industry opportunities during CANEX at IATF2025.
